![]() ![]() The upcoming community patch primarily transfers Forsaken God’s improved tech to the original G3. Usually the ones which made fundamental changes (remove the disk check, improve memory handling, disable the bugged multi-core support, etc.). (*) Some of the community patches were funded by JoWooD and now Nordic Games. If you find the (too slow apart from the opening battle, IMHO) beginning good enough to play on, you are up for 100 hours of entertaining open world exploration starting with the 3rd bigger location. The tweaked G3 still has one of the most beautiful and well designed worlds in the genre - and this world is not only beautiful, it’s also big. It has some positive aspects which compensate for the few fundamental weaknesses a semi-amateur team(*) couldn’t fix. ![]() ![]() ![]() G3 on the other hand is a decent game with the 1000+ changes through the community patches. So: is this better than, worse than, or the same / a subset of Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods? ![]()
